Senior Pastor
Nathan Creitz
Pastor Nathan Creitz was installed as the tenth pastor of Calvary Baptist Church on January 20, 2019. Nathan had previously served as a church planter in Queens and in Boston prior to moving to Bay Shore. Nathan is passionate about making disciples who make disciples and reaching the unreached from all languages and peoples with the gospel of Jesus Christ. His ministry focus is on expository preaching, service-oriented evangelism, and developing healthy ministry systems.
Nathan met his wife Kim in Boston, Massachusetts. Kim is originally from Queens, NY but she was finishing her undergraduate degree at Boston University. Though Kim had heard and responded to the gospel during her time at BU she had not yet been baptized. Nathan had the privilege of baptizing her in 2005. They began dating and got married July 21, 2007. Together they have 3 children: Zoe, Zachary, and Caleb. Kim received her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Lesley University in 2006. She currently serves in our CalvaryKIDS ministry and works as a Teaching Assistant at a local elementary school.
Nathan was saved at the age of 5 and was baptized at Duncanville Baptist Church in Duncanville, Alabama. Nathan graduated from the University of Mobile in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in Religion and received his Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2010. Nathan has been serving in vocational ministry since 1998 and has led dozens of short-term mission projects to 9 different countries.
